# Settings

Read the settings with `get_settings` (any app role). Change them with `set_setting` (`app_admin`), or on the
Streamlit app's **Settings** page.

| Setting                 | What it controls                                                                 | Default   | Range         |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------- | ------------- |
| `max_workers`           | Lookups in flight at once                                                        | 60        | 1–100         |
| `requests_per_second`   | Requests per second, shared by all lookups (Tomba allows 30 per install)         | 28        | 1–30          |
| `chunk_size`            | Rows written and billed together (a run can stop or be cancelled between chunks) | 1,000     | 50–5,000      |
| `max_rows_cap`          | The most rows a single call may read, whatever its `max_rows`                    | 1,000,000 | 1–10,000,000  |
| `cache_days`            | Reuse results younger than this many days, for free (0 turns the cache off)      | 30        | 0–365         |
| `monthly_credit_budget` | Tomba credits all runs may use per calendar month, UTC (0 = no limit)            | 0         | 0–100,000,000 |
