# Pricing and limits

## Price

You pay **$0.0098 per Tomba credit**, billed by Snowflake on your Snowflake invoice. Search and verification
credits cost the same. You don't need a Tomba account or plan.

Snowflake bills whole cents, so each charge (one per credit type for each batch of up to 1,000 rows, or per
single lookup) is rounded to the nearest cent:

## Credits per tool

You pay only for results. A lookup that finds nothing uses no credits.

These free cases use no credits:

- not found and invalid input
- errors
- results from the app's [cache](./cache-and-budgets)
- repeats of the same lookup within the month
- duplicate rows in a run (looked up once)

Each output row's `CREDITS` column, and each run in `TOMBA.core.runs`, show exactly what was used.

## Trial

If the listing offers a trial, every call processes at most **100 rows** during it, and nothing is charged.

New installs also start with a limit of **200 lookups per day** (UTC). The limit is lifted automatically once
your install is confirmed in Snowflake's records, usually within a few hours. `CALL TOMBA.core.status()`
shows your limit and what is left today.

## Limits and speed

Use an **X-Small** warehouse: the work waits on the network, so a larger warehouse doesn't make runs faster.
Background runs and schedules use serverless compute, billed to your account by Snowflake.
